Long time no blogging

Well. So. Yeah. It's been a while since we updated this blog. Sorry! We have released a whole bunch of great music the past few months. Continue reading if you want to know what's up!

In late November the first single from King Melodies debut album was released. Tick Tock also includes a really cool B-side. Get the whole thing here.

As an early christmas present we re-released the first ever demo from Scraps Of Tape. 3 songs, 46 minutes. That says a lot. Johan G Winther designed the beautiful artwork. There is also a limited poster available directly from the band. Download the very long EP here.

The first release of 2013 was the debut album by King Melodies. Four EPs was enough EPs so Martin Bäcklin and friends recorded an album this time. I Am The Devil is the beginning of a new era. New studio, new musicians and new sound. The album is available here.

Less than a month ago we released the debut EP by The Poet & The Drunk. One has been growing during the past four years. It almost ended up as an album but we decided to release only the best of the best songs as an EP instead and it's available here.

Today is also a day for a new release. We have listened to the debut EP by Black Guillemot on repeat since it came out. We are very happy to release the second EP 1910 today. Just as good as the debut. Get it here.

Tick Tock out now!

Maybe you already heard it but yesterday King Melodies new single was released. Tick Tock is going to be on the upcoming album as well. But for now you really should check out the single and the B-side. Available for free on Bandcamp and all the usual digital outlets. Enjoy!

Scraps Of Tape

So... Here goes. We've been talking about us working together with a really great band. A band we've been listening to for many years. That band is Scraps Of Tape. They have released a whole bunch of great albums on our favorite label A Tenderversion Recording. 10 years ago they recorded a demo. We love that demo. We love it so much we decided to do a proper release to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Johan G Winther made the artwork for the reissue and there will also be a limited edition poster. We're really excited about this. Out December 17.

Tick Tock

Our next release will be the first single from King Melodies upcoming debut album (out early 2013). It's called Tick Tock and it will include a pretty awesome B-side. You're gonna like this shit. Out the very last day of November. Add THAT to your calendar!

News and updates

It's been quiet for a while. No new releases the past seven months. But things are not standing still! King Melodies are in the studio right now recording their album. They are also booking a small tour as we speak. The Poet & The Drunk have been working on their debut EP for a long time and finally things are falling into place. A couple of finishing touches and a release date will be set!

A couple of months ago we announced that we will be working with a new band. A really great band. We'll let you know who very soon... It'll be worth the wait!

I Am The Devil

King Melodies are working on a full length album! Having released four EPs during the past two years we all thought it might be a good idea to release an album. The band will start recording this fall and the title of the album will be I Am The Devil. A single with a b-side will be released prior to the album. More info TBA!

New release

We have some very exciting news. It involves us working together with one of the greatest bands in the world. Some of you may know this band already, they've been around for a while. In 2002 they released their very first demo and we will re-release this baby to celebrate its 10th anniversary. But let's not spoil the fun and keep the name of the band a secret until further notice...

We've been longing for this day and now it's finally here! We are proud to present the debut album by Vädret, the solo project by Scraps Of Tape member Marcus Nilsson. Back from tour with Scraps Of Tape. Had a really great time. Met a lot of nice people, saw some weird but great places and drank a lot of German beer! The members of SoT are really sweet and they played nine awesome shows. Thanks guys, I will wear my new t-shirts with pride!

In Lalaland out February 15!

We've been waiting for this for quite some time now. John Lindell finished up the recordings of his debut EP In Lalaland and it will be out February 15. John has been a friend for many years so this is pretty exciting for us. This will be his first official release and we're honored to do it. Vädret

Scraps Of Tape guitarist Marcus Nilsson have been working on a solo project for a while. We instantly fell in love with his music and the way he talked about it. The greatest thing about it is that you can't really specify a genre. That says it all. We are so happy about this. Vädret (weather in Swedish) is the name of this project and we will release a 7-track mini album called Löven Dansar Ballet Där Ute. To celebrate these wonderful news we uploaded a song from it for you to enjoy. More news and release date TBA!

Yngling

So what about that new signing then? Our friends in Yngling finished their debut album a while ago and we've been listening to it a lot. The best way to describe their music is by using the words post-rock. Post-rock without guitars. If that sounds weird to you, wait until you hear this record. Five songs, 40 minutes. Set to be released October 12 on Ramberget Recordings.

We have signed a deal with a new distributor to get our releases on all the fancy online stores and streaming services. John Lindell

Our old friend John Lindell, who plays the bass in Yamon Yamon, has for as long as I can remember been working on and off on his solo project. The thing is, he never got around to release anything. We've been listening to his demos for years now and think it's about time he released something for everyone to enjoy. So we're very excited to announce that John will start working on an EP which will be released by Ramberget Recordings!

A few weeks ago we told you that King Melodies is working on another EP. We've heard the pre-productions and man, they sound good. Once again Studiomega is booked and it's going to happen sometime next month. If everything goes as planned we'll hopefully have this out in June!

Hungry For Hands

Our next release will be with the Ukrainian post-rockers Hungry For Hands. They recorded their EP I Was Hungry For Hands last year and we like it so much we wanted to do a proper digital release! You can listen to it on Bandcamp. We'll let you know when it's available for download!
